10/18/2017 0 Comments Let the Holy Spirit GuideFamily and friends, I am sorry that I can´t include pictures… something went wacky with my SD card. I'll try and get it fixed ASAP… everyone knows the pictures are the only reason anyone click on these emails anymore. Lol. I wanted to share another miracle that happened this week. The Spirit, or the third member of the Godhead, is an essential part in what we do as missionaries. It's central role is to testify of the Father and Son, and so it is necessary to have it in every single lesson and in every single day. The Spirit is the real teacher, not us. I have been trying to have the Spirit with me guiding me and showing me what to do instead of trusting too much in myself. This week, we had left the house to try to find a few people and all of our plans fell through and we were left without anything planned to do. We tried to pass for a few other people we knew, but nobody was home and nothing was working. I decided to try and offer a prayer with my companion ,Elder Wattles, and ask God to help us know what we had to do. We went into a secluded passageway, and offered a prayer to Heavenly Father asking to be guided to someone that needed the gospel. We finished, sat and thought for a minute and decided to round the corner and see what happened. We rounded the corner and saw a woman outside of her house. We walked up to her, and started talking. She told us that her parents had been baptized in the church, but that she had never arrived to that point. We shared a message about the gospel of Jesus Christ and the importance of following His gospel. The Spirit was so strong. She accepted a return appointment and we are now teaching her. Right after finishing, we went right back to the passage and said another prayer of gratitude. I know Heavenly Father led us to this woman. God can show us where we need to go and what we need to do. If we live worthy of the Spirit, all these things and more will be made known unto us. Look for the guidance of the spirit in your week this week! Love you guys very very much! Take care of yourselves! Elder Scott
