After we had gotten home at night, it started to rain, and rained a bit into the night time. We all went to bed like normal, and at 3 in the morning, we get a call from a hermana from the ward and she tells us that they are going to cut the water. We go back to bed, and when we woke up, we filled up a few bottles of water and showered and sure enough, like she had told us, at 9 in the morning on sunday, they cut the water for all of Southern Santiago. Being blessed to come from a good country that doesn´t usually have problems like this, it was super weird for me. You turn on the tap, nothing comes out. The shower doesn´t work. The toliet doesn´t flush. Only when it is gone do you realize how important water is. We went 3 days without having any running water. Yes 3 days. Nobody could shower or wash plates or wash their hands or nothing. It was insane. Ginormous trucks came to San Ramon filled with water and the people lined up in huge lines more than 3 blocks long to fill up water bottles, trash cans, you name it. After they turned it back on again, holy cow it felt so good to shower and was the dishes and my hands and all that nice stuff that water does. People be thankful you have water because trust me 3 days without it was terrible. So I also got bit by a dog and my finger nail where it bit me has turned black and I cannot feel it. So that is fun. I ALSO FINALLY HAD CHANGES. I have been on my mission for more than 8 months, and I just now left my first ward. It was great in Las Americas, but I am so glad to meet new people. Now I am with Elder Anguita from Buenos Aires Argentina! We live in an apartment in the ward Las Avenidas! I am super excited to get to work with him and learn a bunch of stuff. I will keep you all updated. Love you all so much! Be safe! Elder Scott ¨Do a good turn daily¨ - a quote I like. You all should follow it
