5/2/2018 0 Comments T-4Well everyone, here I am again. On Thursday, we had a special leader meeting with President Gwilliam in the office of the mission. We have two of them every change and we talk about how the mission is doing, and how we can improve. This time dedicated the majority of the time to planning how as a mission we can involve the members of the church better in our work. When we work with the members, we have more success. more people are baptized, the lessons are more powerful, the investigator makes friends in the ward. The problem in our mission isn´t the lack of members, cause we have a pretty good amount in every ward, it is just putting our schedules together. Lots of people work and are only available late at night, like after 8 o´clock. We have improved in our sector. We are doing family nights with the members and investigators, and it has been going well! We want every member to have a friend in the ward, and to feel the spirit in the testimonies of the members. After we left the mission office, I went with Elder Concecao to La Blanca for our divisions. We had a great day together. We taught an investigator named Johnny that has since been baptized, and did some contacts. The next morning I stayed in the sector, because Pierre was be baptized. We made all of the preparations for the baptism, filled up the font, cleaned the capilla. The bautismo was an amazing experience. It was so spiritual to see Pierre be baptized after so much work. He was happy and laughing as always. I know that he is going to be a great addition to the ward and that he is going to help many people. The next day, we had a capilla abierta and I teamed up with Elder Longhurst and Elder Gates and we contacted as hard as possible for 3 hours. At the very end, we found an amazing family of Peruvians that now the elders are teaching! I also killed a mouse that night in our house. We had the first zone meeting of the change the next day and in the presentation questions we asked, “When were you baptized”. Almost half of the missionaries in our zone are converts! A ton of them got baptized in 2014 which was really neat to see. The church is growing. I am out of time for today, but I love you guys a ton! Stay safe! Elder Scott
