3/15/2017 0 Comments March 15th, 2017As I write this to all you guys, I am completely dead. My body is sore everywhere. We did a lot of service this week. We helped a woman in our ward named Ruth, to paint her bedroom. Holy cow to all the painters out there. I never realized how hard painting was. It hurt my arms so much but now Ruth has the coolest white bedroom in all of Santiago. We also gave a dog a bath. Not anything too crazy, but we did it with cold hose water and even though it is hot outside it was freezing and the dog would not let us give it a bath so that made it more of a challenge. We made a patio out of cement. A cement truck poured a huge pile of cement on top of a tarp, and we had to take the cement from the pile, to the shovel, to the wheelbarrow, and to the patio. That one straight wrecked my arms even more. It is all good though because the cement patio looks really good and the dog, not the one that we gave a bath, that lives on top of it is really happy We cleaned up a burned down bakery. This one was for sure my favorite. I mean, it is really sad that the people´s house had to burn down, but it was really cool to be able to help them. The had a bunch of machines made out of metal that we had to move and we had to take ash out in wheel barrows. There was also a huge pile of glass that melted together that we had to take out which was super hard. We also had a lunch I really liked. In our ward there is a young couple named Juan Carlos and Maqarena that got married like 2 or 3 years ago that live in a little cute apartment like 3 minutes from the church and I am super jealous of their life. Juan Carlos came home from the mission and the got married like that year. Juan Carlos is from Uruguay and he has a really cool accent. We were taking about mate (look it up) with them, and they gave me a mate¡ I was super happy. I think my favorite thing that happened this week were the interviews with President. That man is so amazing. A few people had their interviews before me, so I got to just sit and talk to Hermana Gwilliam. We sat and talked about a ton of things for probably around a good 25 minutes. It was super special. The interview was even crazier. President and I talked about repentance and self duty. The scriptures say, teach nothing but repentance for a reason guys. USE IT BECAUSE JESUS DIED SO YOU COULD. Lecciones! Ariel, the son of Ruth, went to a Noche de Hogar with us and he said a prayer even though he says he doesn´t believe in God. We taught him the restuaracion and we found out that he told his mom that he really liked it. Crazy how the Spirit works right? ENTREVISTA I gave my second bautismal interview of the mission a few days ago to a Hatian woman named Gislaine. She didn´t understand the atonement that well, so the interview was an hour long. I love so much how the Spirit helps me speak Spanish and explain things simply so people can understand. That was the week. Love you all a whole lot
