10/27/2016 0 Comments I Spoke Too Soon ...This week has been a pretty crazy week here because I finished my training and I got my new companion. I have had to show him all the parts of our area, and help him to get to know the people so we can get started working. My new companion is amazing. You might remember that a few weeks ago I was talking smack after Chile beat Peru in a soccer game because my dad served his mission in Peru. So guess where my new companion is from? Yeah, he´s from Peru. His name is Elder Castillo and he is such a nice, happy, hard working dude. I am so happy I have him as my companion. He is good at contacting and just making friends with people. I don´t know how well you all know your Peru geography, but he is from Chimbote Peru, which is around an hour outside of Lima. I am still getting to know him better, and I will continue to update you. I am just super happy. I am still in my old area and ward, Las Americas. So, This week we had the chance to help out one of our investigators with an assignment for her English class. She had to make a video describing her house, and introducing her family. We sat down with her, wrote a script, and helped her film the video. It went super, super well and she was happy with how it turned out. Last night, she told us that she passed English and got a perfect score on the video. This got me thinking. For me, for most of the people that read this email, English is super easy. It made me very happy to see how something that I take for granted, something that doesn't seem like much to me, can make someone else so happy and is valuable to them. Every single one of you has something special that someone else needs. We can use this little gifts we have, to serve people and make them so so happy. Yeah. That´s my invitation for you all. Serve someone in a special way. Love you all! Have a good week! Elder Scott
