1/18/2017 0 Comments BlessedFamily and friends, This week Elder Castillo and I have been trying really hard to get to the house on time every single night (we have to be in the house at 10:30pm). For real this past week we have been in lessons till 10:25pm and have had to sprint back to the house so we can make it in time. My feet are dead. Don't ever ever run in church shoes. Trust me! This week was really happy for me because of a spiritual experience that I had. I will try and make it as short as I can. For the first time in my whole life, I read the Book of Mormon in Spanish. It was such an accomplishment for me to finish an almost 700 page book in a different language, and I love the Book of Mormon so much, so it was just super happy for me. At the end of the Book of Mormon, there is a scripture (Moroni 10:3-5) that asks you, upon finishing, to offer a pray asking Heavenly Father if it is true. I did that, and in my prayer, I asked for Heavenly Father to help me have an even stronger testimony and to help me see miracles through my hard work. A few days later, in the church, we had an investigator named Miguel come to church for the very first time in his whole life after 6 full months of teaching him and his family. After that, one of the members we teach (Esteben Pena), that was just reactivated, bore his testimony in front of the congregation and said that his life had changed and he was a happy man. Not even lying I cried. Two miracles within the space of 5 minutes. I know God answers prayers. I know it with all my heart. He is always there for us. Life is amazing here. We got to go to the temple today! Also, today a Haitiano (person from Haiti) asked Elder Castillo and I the question, ¨How do you Mormons just win at everything in life? It made me crack up and think about how blessed I really am. God is great. Love you all! Hope you have an amazing week! Elder Scott
